Construction Safety

Our company is committed to limiting the waste of human and material resources by avoiding, preventing and reducing loss due to injury, property damage, spoilage, reduced productivity and reduced quality. Our resource protection and resource conservation efforts must always be an integral part of every activity, every day.

To the greatest degree possible, management will provide all mechanical and physical facilities to attain the highest standards of personal health and safety. We will maintain a Health and Safety Program that conforms to the best practices. To succeed, such a program must embody the proper attitude towards injury and illness prevention on the part of both Managers/Coordinators and employees. It also requires cooperation in all health and safety matters, not only between Managers/Coordinators and employees, but also between each employee and his or her fellow workers. Only through such a cooperative effort can a Health and Safety Program in the best interest of all be established and preserved. Our objective is a program that will reduce the number of injuries and illnesses to an absolute minimum, not merely in keeping with, but surpassing the best experience of other operations similar to ours. We recognize that the responsibility for health and safety is shared:

  • Safety Team is responsible for reviewing hazards and monthly inspections.
  • The employer is responsible for leadership in the Health and Safety Program, for its effectiveness and improvement, and for the safeguards required to ensure safe conditions.
  • Team Leaders are responsible for developing the proper attitudes towards health and safety in themselves and in those they supervise.
  • Employees are responsible for wholehearted, genuine cooperation with all aspects of the Health and Safety Program, including compliance with all rules and regulations, and for continuously practicing safety while performing their duties.
